All athletes know that after a certain amount of time spent in weight training, our body gets used to the body gets used to the exercises become easier and easier easier and the training are no longer not as effective as they used to be to continue to progress... This is when weighting down becomes extremely effective and important!

Weighting consists of voluntarily weighing yourself down to to make the exercises more difficult. In this article, we propose 2 essential equipments for this, some exercises as well as various tips that will allow you to surpass yourself ūüĒ•

Let's go!

THE IMPORTANCE OF USING WEIGHTS IN BODYBUILDING

In the first few months of bodybuilding, many changes can be noticed: whether from a
physical point of view (muscle gain, toning, fat loss...) or in terms of performance , where you progress rapidly.

Unfortunately, as time goes by it is difficult to difficult to progress on certain exercises, especially those with body body weight such as the dips and pull-ups or even push-ups. We have the impression of stagnating, and our muscular development is therefore impacted.

Having a weight training routine is good, but changing it from time to time doesn't hurt. On the contrary, it is strongly recommended! Put more intensity in your sessions is an essential factor in continuing to build muscle and and progress.

The time has come to start a new cycle of new cycle of progression by weighting yourself in order to shock your muscles and your body. This will allow you to gain in different points:

  • Muscle
  • Strength
  • Explosivity

  • The weighted vest or the weighted belt are the equipment used in bodybuilding to make bodyweight exercises even more effective!

weight trainingYou can find them on our store !

This equipment does not increase the risk of injury, but we recommend that you stay focused during each exercise, especially when you first start out, as your muscles and joints will need to get used to the extra weight.

We advise you toincrease your loads gradually . Increasing the weight too quickly from the beginning will create possible risks of injury... so be patient :)

When you reach 8-10 reps for exercises such as pull-ups and dips (exercises that benefit most from the weight), put more weight on and repeat this routine when you reach that number of reps.

If you want to gain in explosiveness and strength you will need to perform a number of repetitions generally between 3 and 5 of your maximum. This is the best technique to win in these points.

Tips: keep track of the weight and the number of reps you do so you'll always want to do more the next time!

BENEFITS OF USING WEIGHTS IN STREET WORKOUT

Weighting down is also a great option for Street Workout !

Indeed, it allows for a better mobility on certain exercises, by weighting ourselves we acquire a grip and a grip more solidideal for the Handstand or the Flag.

It is also possible to docircuit training that has become too easy with body weight, with a weighted vest that fits and is compact to prevent it from moving during your exercises. It will become more difficult to do push-ups, burpees, jumping rope etc...

You will feel much more resistant and enduring when you will go back to bodyweight, it will be easier to do muscle ups or dips. Ideal if you are doing street workout competitions!

Finally, you won't need to bring weights with you when you train outdoors, which can be quite restrictive... you'll just have to carry your weighted vest in your backpack. Convenient, isn't it? :)

FOR WHICH EXERCISES IS IT IMPORTANT TO USE WEIGHTS?

As mentioned earlier, weighting down is ideal for bodyweight exercises. The pull-ups and dips are the two main ones that benefit the most from an overload, they allow to work the entire upper body.

But that's not all! Having a developed physique on the upper part of the body is good, but if the lower part is not proportional it will be very unattractive. With a weighted vest you can perform many squats to work your quadricepsIt is also possible to train your calves by positioning yourself on a block, placing the front of your feet on it and performing ascents and descents.

Here is a selection of the best exercises to be done while weighting :

    Supination pull-ups : Back & Biceps
